We are overjoyed to announce that Tiny — the small, brave dog who captured hearts when she was rescued in critical condition last November — has been adopted into a loving forever home. After weeks of emergency care, specialist treatment at Hillcrest Veterinary Hospital, and a remarkable recovery, Tiny’s story has reached the happiest of endings.
Tiny’s journey began on November 24th, when she was found malnourished, injured, and barely clinging to life. Without Voices stepped in immediately to fund her emergency veterinary care, and by December she was in the expert hands of the team at Hillcrest Veterinary Hospital. Week by week, Tiny grew stronger — her wounds healed, her weight returned, and her gentle, trusting personality began to shine through.
By early January, the veterinary team at Hillcrest confirmed that Tiny had made a full recovery. Her wounds were completely healed, she had reached a healthy weight, and all follow-up tests showed that she was in excellent health. The question then became: what would happen next for this resilient little dog?
The answer came sooner than anyone expected. A family who had been following Tiny’s story through the Without Voices updates expressed their interest in adopting her. They visited Hillcrest to meet Tiny in person, and it was clear from the very first moment that they had found their match.
“The moment we met her, we knew she was meant to be part of our family,” Tiny’s new owner shared, visibly moved. “She walked right up to us, tail wagging, and put her head in my daughter’s lap. We had been following her story for weeks, and knowing everything she’s been through makes it even more special. She’s not just a pet — she’s a survivor, and we feel honored to give her the life she deserves.”
The adoption was finalized in mid-January, and Tiny — who has since settled into her new home beautifully — is reportedly enjoying long naps on the couch, gentle walks in the garden, and an endless supply of treats and affection from her new family.
“This is the outcome we work toward every single day,” said Bruce Stander, founder of Without Voices. “From the moment Tiny was rescued in November, through her treatment at Hillcrest in December, to this incredible moment — every donation, every partner, every person who cared played a part in giving Tiny a second chance at life.”
Bruce reflected on what Tiny’s story means for the broader mission of Without Voices: “Tiny’s journey is proof that when emergency funding arrives at the right time, lives can be saved. She was hours away from a very different outcome when we first heard about her case. But because the funds were available, because Hillcrest was willing to partner with us, and because our donors believed in what we do — Tiny is alive, healthy, and loved. That’s not a small thing. That’s everything.”
The team at Hillcrest Veterinary Hospital also expressed their joy at Tiny’s adoption. “We see a lot of difficult cases come through our doors,” said one of the veterinary staff. “But Tiny’s case was special. Watching her go from barely surviving to thriving, and then seeing her walk out the door with a family who clearly adores her — that’s why we do what we do. We’re grateful to Without Voices for making this possible.”
Tiny’s story — from a critical emergency to a happy, healthy dog in a loving home — is a testament to what happens when communities come together. It took rescuers who acted quickly, an organization willing to fund emergency care, a veterinary hospital that provided world-class treatment, donors who gave generously, and a family who opened their hearts and their home.
Without Voices exists to make sure that emergency funding is never the reason an animal doesn’t get the care it needs. Tiny’s story is one of many that the organization hopes to tell in the years ahead — each one a reminder that every life matters, and that together, we can make a difference.
Thank you to everyone who supported Tiny’s journey. Your generosity doesn’t just save lives — it creates stories of hope, resilience, and love. If you’d like to help the next animal in crisis, please consider donating to the Without Voices emergency fund. Because somewhere out there, another Tiny is waiting for her second chance.
